The Downtown Campus in Aurora, Illinois is located on the beautiful Fox River, right in the middle of downtown Aurora. The Fox River runs from southeastern Wisconsin to the Illinois River and features the riverwalk, paddling and extensive bike trails.  

Waubonsee Community College served as an excellent location last year and once again has been selected to host our Camp. More than 5 years ago we established Fox Valley Drupal as a Meetup group to help build the greater Drupal community here in the Chicago area and it was our pleasure for us to share our enthusiasm at our First Annual Drupal Camp.

Established in 1966, Waubonsee Community College has provided students with “the objective of meeting the lifelong learning needs of the community”. In 2012 a new facility in downtown Aurora, IL opened to provide a modern learning environment with expanded access to education for the community.

The Aurora Campus’ new Multipurpose Room is a perfect fit for DrupalCamp Fox Valley’s projected attendance and audio-visual needs. New classrooms with AV support allow us to support breakout sessions, code sprints, and BOF sessions.

The venue is conveniently accessible via interstate highway, local public transit, regional commuter train, bike trail, or waterway if kayak or canoe is your preferred mode of transport.

The area offers numerous natural parks, museums, miles of bicycle trails and more to make a weekend vacation out of the event. We will provide resource information shortly for those that wish to plan an extended visit.

Free parking is available a few blocks away from campus in the student lot at 201 North River Street.
