DrupalCamp Fox Valley and the Fox Valley Drupal Users Group are always looking for opportunities to introduce Drupal to a broader audience. Session selection will be based on offering a broad range of topics of interest to people new to Drupal, experienced Drupal Developers and Business people. This camp is for anyone interested in leveraging the power of Drupal and our greater Drupal Community.
Join us for a day of Drupal training presented by Doug Vann. Doug's training will start with the basics of Drupal--content types, fields, and menus--then move into more advanced concepts and best practices. Doug is one of the most respected trainers in the Drupal industry and trains a number of high profile Drupal clients in both the public and private sectors.
For more information on Doug and his training, see http://dougvann.com.
One full day of learning and sharing about the latest developments, trends, and tips for building and running your Drupal projects. There will be sessions for various skill levels and interests, our amazing keynote speaker Fredric Mitchell, and space to start Birds of a Feather (BOF) discussions with like-minded attendees.
The greatest asset of open source software is the ability to fork and improve. When it comes to our community’s culture, could we be better? Fredric says we can, and Star Trek: Voyager gives us our blueprint. He'll explore the principles surrounding Gene Rodenberry’s creation and how he learned about context and blind spots through a year long journey of building a great team. Fredric will also show off some of the scientific studies he found, as well as research and mathematical models to prove the idea of diverse collective intelligence over individual intelligence within a group. We’ll explore the ground-breaking symbolism of characters like Captain Janeway, Lieutenant Tuvok and Seven of Nine.
Choose from 15 different sessions (three per time slot) covering a variety of topics focused on Drupal and business. We will do our best to record each session for later viewing.
All good Drupal events need a party! A short walk form the venue we will have a private room at Ballydoyle’s Irish Pub for libations, a bite to eat, and to continue conversations about our favorite Drupal and web development topics.
